About
I’ve always known I wanted to do something with computers and never really knew what. I should have been able to guess from an early age when I enjoyed being creative and playing on computers this is where I would end up.
Like most young men who have grown up in West Yorkshire I enjoy playing and watching rugby league. Along with a bit of the beautiful game thrown in on a 5-a-side basis now and again. I also enjoy getting out on my mountain bike and I’ve played golf on and off since I was 11 (not that I’ve got any better at it).
It was only recently that I finally decided to persue my interest in the creative industry as a career. Previously worked in banking customer service for seven years. I’m not completely writing off this part of my life as it provided me with a lot of the customer facing skills I have now. Banking just wasn’t for me.
Plying my trade on a part-time basis for a company called The Design Mechanics, based in Marsden, Huddersfield as a front end developer and also freelancing I managed to put myself through university. I now have the capabilities to meet most web site briefs.
Moving straight from university into a Front End Developer role for Infoserve, a local search and marketing company. I have now managed to add important information to my knowledge in terms of Search Engine Optimisation for local business.
Next I worked at We love the web in Hebden Bridge as a Front End Developer having to keep my skills up to scratch working for clients like O2 and Dell.
I’m currently working as a Lead Developer for a company called Schools Opt In based in my home town of Wakefield. I can honestly say I really enjoy what I do for a job.
I enjoy testing my arm a pretty much anything so if you feel you might have a project or role that would fit my skill set then why not drop me an email and we’ll see what we can do about that.
