A few years ago when I was studying web design at college I was asked to make a presentation to the (then) first years to explain the sort of thing they should expect moving into the web design world and any advice I would give having just finished my first.

During my first year at college I also put together a couple of font help sheets to help me with font recognition and also typographic terms.

The font recognition sheet has a number of common fonts from the I Love Typography font recognition came with their names and also a type example.

The font anatomy sheet details some of the more common terms in typography and how to recognise these on characters.
